TESTIMONIALS

We first met Roger Grow and AGR in 2005 as he was renovating an 1895 classic Denver Brick Four Square styled home in the Mapleton Hill Historic District.  When we first saw the house, the interior had been stripped down to bare brick walls and studs.  We saw the beautiful potential of the structure immediately.  As we engaged to purchase the home, we were impressed by Roger’s willingness to accommodate our preferences and he was clearly passionate about customizing it into the home of our dreams.   We were very, very pleased with the purchase transaction and 2005 renovations.

At the time, this was our second home, and when we made the decision to sell our primary residence in Illinois 10 years later, we wanted to make the house even more suited to our new permanent residency in Boulder.  We knew AGR was the contractor to turn to.   We engaged local architects (who knew and respected Roger and AGR), and began the arduous process of seeking approval from the Landmarks Commission.  Roger’s input was very helpful in the iterative changes that Landmarks required.

We quite easily reached contract on the renovations, which included a two-story addition, an elevator, four renovated bathrooms, and a kitchen and pantry redesign as well as other minor improvements.  The addition necessitated extensive landscaping and retaining walls—performed by another firm.  AGR worked seamlessly with them, and actually helped solve several exterior design issues that stymied the landscapers.

We met regularly with Roger and his team throughout the project.  They were responsive and accommodating to our own and our architects’ changes, requests, questions, and suggestions. We had done four major renovations to our 110 year old home in Illinois, so we were aware of the typical ups and downs of construction, but Roger and his team, particularly his project manager, were easy and really enjoyable to work with and the project went very smoothly and without surprises, which is a testament to their attentive staff and high level of knowledge and experience.

They quickly and thoroughly executed several follow-up “mini projects”.  Quite remarkably, the entire project was completed under budget.   And the house is everything that we first thought and hoped it could be.  We could not be happier.  We were on the Historic Boulder “Homes for the Holidays” Christmas tour in December 2016.  We had overwhelmingly positive feed back on the harmonious blend of historic exterior and clean, contemporary interior.  This was the vision AGR helped us achieve.

I cannot say enough positive things about Roger and his entire team at AGR, who constructed my new home in Boulder.  I have done three complete gut/remodels prior to working with AGR and can honestly say the experience was not even comparable with any other group I have worked with.  They are extremely professional, efficient and communicate clearly all timing, issues and decisions that need to be made.  Roger is detailed, organized, engaged and there were absolutely no surprises.  After a large scale project like this, there are always a few things that pop up and need tweaking after moving in.  Many contractors promise they will be there after the project to take care of things if need be, but rarely if ever do they follow through.  Six months after I moved in, the AGR team never hesitates to be there and fine tune things if/when they come up.

In an industry that is littered with unprofessional work and horror stories, it is good to know guys like Roger and his team at AGR are providing such amazing dependable service.  I am certain this is not often said about working with a contractor, but it was an absolute pleasure working with AGR.

We just purchased our new home from AGR Building Inc and we're glad we did. The company stands behind their work and immediately jumps on any issues to resolve any problems. Let’s face it, new homes will always have a few growing pains and buying from a builder who understands and immediately fixes these issues is the key to making the new home building/buying process painless. AGR not only builds a great house, but they also stood behind their work to make sure that we were happy in our new dream home. I can highly recommend them for your new home.

"From designing our home to building it in 7 months to fine tuning small things after moving in, Nancy and I have been very pleased with the opportunity to work with AGR Building.   Roger Grow and Dave Vecchiarelli built our dream home ahead of time and on budget with careful attention to every detail all while accommodating our changes seamlessly along the way.  They were easy and fun to work with, open minded, honest, and trustworthy from day one.  They are masters of their craft and their veteran experience from building hundreds of custom homes was invaluable to the overwhelming success of our project.   It was a very pleasant experience which I wouldn’t hesitate to repeat.

I will gladly recommend AGR Building to anyone that is thinking about designing and building their dream home.  We have been in our house for 3 months and we love it more every day.  Thanks for a job well done!”
